Boston Restaurant Talk reports that Stats, 77 Dorchester St. in South Boston, is closing at the end of the month - with the hope they'll come back. Last year, the Boston Planning Department approved plans by owners Jim and Andrew Statires to knock the old place down and replace it with a five-story, 15-unit apartment building - with ground-floor commercial space where a bar could go.

At 6:23 a.m., the MBTA reported "an ongoing signal problem" between Copley and Government Center was causing delays of up to 25 minutes and forcing some trains to stand by at stations.  At 7:58, the T advised riders to consider hopping on the Orange Line for downtown service.
