Mayor Wu announced this morning that under the emergency Massachusetts-is-too-world-class let-soccer-fans-drink law signed by the governor, Boston bars and restaurants that already have 2 a.m. closing times can apply to stay open until 3 a.m. while the soccer fans remain in Boston through July.
Places that have licensed closing times of 1 a.m. or earlier will be able to apply to extend their last call by an hour, but not until 3 a.m.
