A federal appeals court today dismissed a lawsuit by North End restaurants (listed at the top of the ruling) and the neighborhood chamber of commerce that claimed Mayor Wu levied fees for curbside dining during and after the pandemic before just ending curbside dining in the neighborhood because she hates Italians.

Skechers says it doesn't make sneakers, but state's highest court disagrees

The Supreme Judicial Court ruled today that Skechers is a "manufacturing company" and so cannot run from the fact that it owes more in state taxes than it would otherwise, even if all of its footwear products are made in third-party factories in Asia.
