A Jamaica Plain man is charged with opening fire on two cops at Devon and Laredo street in Dorchester around 9:10 p.m. on Wednesday - a little more than a month after he was released on personal recognizance on a charge of beating somebody up downtown last November.
Three men awaiting trial at a Suffolk County lockup charged with beating two guards

Three men already housed at the Suffolk County House of Correction on Bradston Street pending trials face new charges for an incident last month at the Suffolk County House of Correction in which they sent one guard to the hospital and injured a second after ganging up on them, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

When two Boston licensing cops and the chairwoman of the licensing board rolled up to Sidebar, 14-16 Bromfield St. downtown, for a surprise inspection the night of May 28, they found the bar's karaoke DJ outside with some other folks, amiably rolling joints and then smoking them.
