No, don't worry, the MWRA hasn't proposed one, but if it did, the Winthrop Pilot reports, state Rep. Jeff Turco of Winthrop wouldn't object. The Pilot got on the horn with a professor of nuclear, plasma and radiological engineering, who said Deer Island would be "quite challenging" for a nuke plant, given its proximity to downtown Boston and Logan Airport.
