Red Line service off by more than a smidge due to some signal problems in Cambridge

At 6:37 p.m., the MBTA reported Red Line delays of 15 minutes due to some signal problems near Harvard. Those turned into 25-minute delays that shrank to 10-minute delays, that became 20-minutes delays around 7:50 p.m., when the T announced workers were down on the tracks giving those recalcitrant signals a good whatfor.
Massachusetts, other states file new suit to block orange-tainted Postal Service from taking over mail-in voting

On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled Massachusetts and other states had gotten an order keeping the Postal Service away from mail-in voting too soon because the regime had yet to finalize its rules to do so, so no harm no foul. Those rules went into effect today and the 23 states and the District of Columbia immediately filed a new suit in Boston.

The Boston City Council today rejected a resolution that called for limiting early voting and for continued state oversight of the Boston election department through 2028, saying an incident at the Condon Community Center in South Boston in which three voters were mistakenly given the wrong ballots was a simple, quickly resolved mistake, not an overwhelming indictment of continuing problems in the department.
